CANCELLATION POLICY for Cooking Classes

PLEASE READ THE CANCELLATION POLICY BEFORE YOU SIGN UP Cancellation Policy.

Participants can receive a full refund for their class booking with notice, please send in an email to alessandra@cookingwithalessandra.com at least 5 days in advance to receive a full refund. No refunds or reschedule for missed classes without proper 5-day notice. No rescheduling without 5 days in advance. This policy also applies to the use of gift certificates. No email reminder will be sent before the class that you chose happens, so please add it to your calendar so you don’t forget to come!

Classes will be held rain or shine. 

Cancellation Policy for Tours (starting from November 2025)
We understand that plans can change. The following cancellation policy ensures fairness and clarity for both guests and organizers.

Deposits and Payments

  • A deposit of $1,500 is required to confirm your booking.

  • The deposit is non-refundable.

  • The balance is due 30 days before the start of the tour.

Cancellation Fees

If you need to cancel your reservation, the following penalties apply, based on the number of days before the start of the tour:

Time before departure Cancellation fee
60 days or more Deposit only (25–30%)
59–30 days 50% of total tour price
29–14 days 75% of total tour price
13 days or fewer / No-show 100% of total tour price

Cancellations by the Organizer

If the tour must be canceled by the organizer (e.g., insufficient participants, unforeseen circumstances, safety reasons):

  • You will receive a full refund (deposit + balance),
    or the option to reschedule to another available date at no extra cost.

Non-Refundable Items

Certain pre-purchased services — such as transportation tickets, ferry bookings, or entry fees — may be non-refundable if cancellation occurs after these costs have been incurred.

Notice of Cancellation

All cancellations must be submitted in writing by email to the tour operator.
The date of the written notice determines the applicable cancellation fee.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and unforeseen events.
